The main structure consists of exterior logs ranging from 16'x8' and up to 32' in length chinned with wire mesh & cement. The beams in the ceiling are approx. 27' long & 8" sq. All logs are hand hewn, tongue & groved at the end joints. The home as it stands how is built from logs that were numbered & re-built in the same configuration as at the original site. The height was changed to accommodate 8' ceilings. The floors are 12" pine planks lapped together & nailed to the main beams, using forged nails, stained & polished.
